So on a lighter note … I made snowmen cookies! Most exciting aspect of the past two days that can be conveyed pictorially. Also, plug for www.ted.com (props to Chloe for showing it to me) … which is what I did all day while making said cookies.

I’ve spent the past two days basically doing nothing around the house and finding it to be absolutely relaxing and wonderful. I’ve been taking, as Avery says, “time to breathe,” and having fully regained respiratory function, I thought I would muse about something thats been on my mind … I MISS SWAT. I didn’t think this would occur so quickly … I’m always the one falling over herself to get to the place that I definitively called home about four months ago. First, the first day I was home I missed you all TERRIBLY. I listened to my grumpy music on the taxi ride to the airport and felt like the person driving away from their destined love one in a chick flick. very dramatic. but seriously … I miss having people to laugh and talk with about anything and everything. so many times I’ve been watching TV or reading and there has been something funny and I actually visibly look up to tell one of you about it, except you aren’t here. And furthermore, I miss the community that is Swarthmore, and all the intellectual nerdiness that comes with it (spell check is telling me that nerdiness is not a word … I beg to differ). And the fact that there are attractive smart males that I can run into. As much as Chloe appreciates the sanctity of her kitchen from boys, I kind of miss random flirtation. Speaking of Sharples, I miss Sharples food (*gasp*). Actually. Yesterday, I was really hungry for lunch and just wanted some roasted cauliflower and el’s black beans. with a snickerdoodle, or maybe some apple crisp. which is pretty pathetic, because I had some really quality biscotti yesterday that I know I would not have been able to have at sharples. Alas, Swarthmore has become my natural habitat. Thank goodness this is only a month … can you imagine when we graduate?
